Having been Managing Director since 2013, Mark is responsible for the operational performance and development of the group and franchisor relationships. Mark works closely with each team to drive performance, while keeping customer satisfaction and employee engagement at the heart of Centre Island.

With over 25 years’ experience in the hotel industry, Mark joined Centre Island in 2003 and was appointed Group Financial Officer in 2012. Mark is responsible for overseeing the group’s financial operations and financial strategy, to ensure ongoing support and confidence from our shareholders.
Group HR & People Manager
Maxine has over 30 years’ experience within hotel management, with 24 years’ experience in human resources and people development. Responsible for the group’s people strategy, Maxine is passionate about raising the profile of careers in hospitality, while driving career development opportunities throughout Centre Island.
Information Systems Manager
Bringing over 30 years expertise within the hospitality sector, with the last 20 years having been in IT, Gary is focused on ensuring optimal system performance within Centre Island. Gary works to ensure compliance both internally and externally, while seeking out new and creative IT solutions.
Group Risk and Security Manager
Shaun joined Centre Island in 2014 and has over 30 years’ experience of which the last 18 years have been with internationally branded hotels across the UK. Shaun’s main areas of responsibility include risk management and security, to ensure the health and safety for employees and guests at Centre Island.
Social Media Executive
Having joined Centre Island in 2018, with a background in marketing and communications, Emma is responsible for implementing Centre Island’s social media strategy. Working closely with each hotel, Emma utilises social and digital channels to create and maintain a strong online presence for each franchise.
